Affordable Tree Removal
( an area tree service )

Affordable Tree
Removal is the name of a tree service company that we were told
is based in Douglasville, though their phone number comes out of Smyrna.
One of our associates recently had to have some trees removed, and enlisted this
company to do it. The owner "Brenda", gave a quote that was
neither the cheapest or highest, but they seemed at the time to be very capable
of the job. For the sake of space, we have to condense this, but here's
the short of it: For three trees, the time given was 1 1/2 days to
complete the job, including clean up. It took an extra day, because their
equipment kept breaking, and they kept running out of gas for their saws.
The trees were cut with some damage done to a fence. While they did take
some off of the bill to compensate for this damage, they should
have offered to fix the damage themselves, instead of making the customer do the
work. A small amount of damage was done to another fence as well, but went
unreported as it's minor. One gas can owned by our associate wound up
missing, no doubt being taken by the workers either by accident, or.. ?, and a
decent amount of trash was left behind from cigarette butts and packages to
drinking cups, that had to be cleaned up. They did not cut a particular
stump down to a low level as they said they would. Several calls were made
to them and each time they said, "We'll be there in a day or two" to
correctly cut the stump down - none of these times did they show up. Each
time the excuse give was that their saws were broken, their time was full giving
estimates to new customers, or they were in the process of moving.
Finally, they stopped returning calls altogether, as our last call from days ago
has never been returned.
The verdict of course, is not to use this
service. While it was our own fault for giving the full payment just
before the work was entirely completed, it is simply not good business to spend
your days looking for new work, when you haven't completed your old work.
You can afford better, than Affordable Tree Service. While we give them a
grade of " C " for the quality of work done, we give them a solid
failing " F " for the way they handle unfinished business.
Bailey's Restaurant
( Atlanta Street )
Located kinda-sorta behind the
Amoco station, on Atlanta Street. Extremely casual place. This is
where you go to see the young and old "Flo" type of waitresses, and
where you go to get vegetables. I wish someone would explain to them
however, that creamed corn is an alien life form and NOT a vegetable! More
of a country cooking type of place, and inexpensive. This is where you'll
find all of the Powder Spring's old timer residents congregating for dinner ( or
maybe a militia member or two based on the looks of a few I've seen in there ).
Once you add salt and pepper to the food, it's pretty good. I'd give it
a C+ to a B+ on the grade scale ( depending on day ). Far fewer kids
here, too.
Big Ed's Tree Service
( Serving the Cobb/Paulding areas )

Big Ed's Tree Service has been around for quite some time. In the past, a good
number of people recommended him for doing excellent and fast work of tree
cutting and removal. We have received several complaints from local residents about
this company. Among these complaints are that he takes much longer to complete
a job than he is quoting, he is asking to be paid in full in ADVANCE of doing
the work ( big no no, folks... don't do it ), and that he is drinking heavily on
the job. The minor complaints include finding beer or soda cans on the
site when he leaves. On the big end, is that in at least one case he took
over a month to fall trees from the quoted work date. We have also heard
from two residents we actually know, who have said they still have fallen trees
in their yards that have been there about a month since Big Ed fell them, and
he's never come to remove them - refusing to answer any calls left on his
answering machine. So, the lessons here to learn: 1) Tree
people aren't always the brightest bulb in the lamp anyway, and it's not wise to
pay them for any job until it is 100% complete. 2) Ask
for a signed contract that states all work to be done, and when it is to be
completed, and 3) We would doubt you'd want to pick Big Ed's regardless (this is our
personal opinion only - you may wish to try them out for yourselves to be sure).
Cangelosi's Pizzeria
( Next to the Autozone on Richard Sailor's Parkway - in
front of Home Depot)
Cangelosi's is new, and at the time of
this writing, the only tenant in that new little shopping center that's next to
the Autozone. The owner, Tom Cangelosi, is an authentic New Yorker who's
been living in our area for a few years now. The pizza guy (Eric) is also
a native of New York, so needless to say, these people KNOW how to make
"authentic" New York style pizza. We were literally their first
customers. Menu items vary from pizza to pasta dishes, subs, and
there's even an Italian ice cream counter inside. I only had one other
person with me so I can only comment on the pizza which was VERY good, garlic
squares appetizer made with fresh garlic which was also very good, side salad
(average - what you'd expect from a place like this) and gelato ice cream which
was rich and excellent. The only weak spot was some rather weak
flavored sweet iced tea, but c'mon, we all know New Yorkers and sweet iced tea
are like oil and water - so we'll have to coax them into doing that one a little
better. LOL. Inside dining is what I'd call "cafe style" more
than formal sit-down style (I sure wish they had booths, but it's all tables),
but it's decorated with varied NYC items and murals giving you a feel of the Big
Apple. Over time we'll visit more and sample more of the menu items and we
want to hear your comments as well. Considering we hit them on the
first day, they did a great job. You can visit their website to see the
menu by clicking HERE. For
now we give them a good solid grade of "B".
Donnie's/Johnnie's.. Whatever BBQ
( on the corner of New Macland and Marietta Street
)
Very popular BBQ restaurant.
One year it will be "Johnnies" then the next "Donnie's" and
now it's "Johnnies" again, so we're just calling it the "Whatever
BBQ". Inside dining is fine, but we've suffered mixed-matched orders, incorrect
salad dressings, extra items we've requested being left out, and more. A
neighbor has had this happen to them, too, so we know it just wasn't a few bad luck
visits on our part. ** They keep going through periods where
take-out orders will be done correctly for a while, then for a while it seems
they're just never right. To-go cup sizes change in size, chicken breast
quality differs, etc. Our best advice is to eat IN the restaurant, or, if
you're doing take-out, make sure you check your orders very thoroughly
before leaving.
Green Tomato
( In the old Mom's location - Publix Shopping Center )
Verdicts are generally "ok". On one hand, the
buffet country cooking style food is decent, the place is pretty clean, and it's cheap. On the other
hand, the selection of food is sometimes not the best. I mean, they NEVER
have cooked carrots (geez), and mac and cheese are spotty. There's a
variety of other "orange-ish" colored vegetables on the bar we haven't
figured out yet. Ok, this 'aint no Ryans, but if you live close, it's
better than Wendys (well, anything is). Our grade = C+
Jim & Nick's BBQ
( Hiram, Hwy 278 )

Well, one would be forgiven for thinking,
"Oh damn, not another barbeque joint!!", but after you've eaten at Jim
& Nicks in Hiram, you might wish the others in the area would just shut
down. This is a small chain that originated in Alabama, but is
growing. Hiram is their first Georgia location, with more planned.
This is what I guess you'd call an "upper end" barbeque restaurant,
with prices ranging from around $6.99 for sandwiches, to an average of $9.99 to
$16.99 and up for entrees. Choices range from standard burgers and BBQ
sandwiches to BBQ plates, baby back ribs, catfish platters, fried chicken,
salads, and more. Not a cheap hole in the wall, but the food is good and
the portion sizes are HUGE. Most people can't even finish a "half
salad". The baked potatoes are enormous, as are most of the other
item portions. Our only complaint is seating - some of the stiff wood
booths have padded backings on them and for some reason others do not.
Those that do not, are NOT comfortable to sit in. Otherwise, all's
good. Get there early as people have figured out they're good, and the
place gets packed pretty quickly. Our grade is a solid A- (they'd have
gotten an A+ if not for those funky booth backs).
Johnny Carino's
( Hiram, Hwy 278 )
An interesting sit down restaurant,
right across from Hooters (woo hoo!). We were impressed. The outside
of the place is really sharp looking, done in stone. When you walk in, at
first you're a little turned off by a set of "90210 girls" who
are hostesses, but once you get past the "Little L.A." atmosphere up
front, then you find yourself in a neat looking dining room, with I guess what
they call a French Country look to it. Beamed ceilings, rustic wood seats
and booths, and even alcoves with drapes that can be shut for privacy.
Service via our waitress "Stacey" was very friendly. We did
arrive very early, so I'm not sure how they handle full rush hour crowds yet,
but our experience was more than satisfactory. Food is typical Italian
fare, with dinner/weekend prices ranging in the $8.59 to $13.00 range for
entrees (cheaper items are available at lunch). Portions are H U G
E. We had Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna, and there were easily two meals in
them, so don't be afraid to ask to have it wrapped up. While the dinner
pricing is a little higher than most other places currently on the strip in
Hiram, you again get larger than normal portions, good service, and a nice
atmosphere. PARENTS - please for the love of god, allow us adults to
have this ONE RESTAURANT in the area where we won't feel like we're in
Chuck-E-Cheese!!... leave the little kids with a *sitter* when you eat here, so
we can have this one sanctuary in an oasis of baby restaurants in the
area. Our Grade for Johnny's = B- (note, we've
recently downgraded their grade by one notch. While we still adhere to the
above review, we are getting word via emails that food quality is getting just a
bit spotty. We'll investigate, but will lower them from an A- to B- due to
several complaints.
La Parilla
(Corner of Powder Springs & Austell-Powder Springs
Rd.)
This
review comes to us from "Ellyn" via email. Thanks, Ellyn!
"Powder Springs apparently has
the corner on the market on Mexican restaurants, and this one is one of the
best. Menu options from traditional "tex mex" options to dishes
with true Mexican flavor. The food is consistently fresh, well cooked, and
they are very happy to please, making substitutions when requested. Much
of the help working at the restaurant are brought in from Latin America, as
their name tags will tell. Early arrivals may be difficult to understand
until their english improves, but they always ask for assistance from their
coworkers if they do not understand you. The atmosphere is relaxing, yet
often busy during mealtimes. I've never had to wait for my drink to be
refilled, or wait long for the bill at the end of the meal (one of my pet
peeves!). Live entertainment is available most nights from Tuesday through
Saturday each week, with Gil Caro being our favorite, if you can catch him.
Sunday evenings offer a live mariachi band who love to play to the crowd.
It's best if you get there early or late for dinner - as you may need to
wait some nights due to the crowds. Although I rate them higher than other
local Mexican restaurants, they can be pricey when compared to others - and
should be seen as a "treat". I give them an A rating. PS - If
you think the free salsa is a little too spicy - ask for the mild
("gringo"). They may give you a smile, but will bring out a
milder version that my "gringo" husband finds tasty.
Los Portales Mexican Restaurant
( in the town square next to City Hall )
This location has gone through several
changes over the years. It was a steak house, a Cajun restaurant, and now
it is a Mexican restaurant. I believe as the saying goes, "Third
time's a charm". While I complain regularly about how restaurant
choices around town are so limited, and we seem over saturated with Mexican
restaurants, I recommend this one very much. The service is good, the food
is good, and the atmosphere is nice, with it's exposed brick walls and wood bar.
The booths are comfortable, but a little cramped for four adults, so if you
require tons of room to spread out to eat, this might be the one minus of the
place. They offer incredibly inexpensive lunch entrees, and their dinners
( I had the fajitas-for-two with a pal ) had enough food for 3-4 people!
Give this place a try, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Basic
Mexican food, at basic prices, and a good experience. Grade: Food
= B+ Service = A Atmostphere = B
The UPS Store
( In the Publix Shopping Center - formerly Mail Boxe's Etc. ) Click
HERE for more info!
Good folks to deal
with. The place had a name
change to "The UPS Store" (from Mail Boxe's Etc.). They offer mail box rentals, shipping,
copying ( black & white as well as color ), fax services, a computer you can
rent by the hour, business card ordering, you can pay many of your utility and
service bills there now too, and much more. Some have emailed
me saying that box rental is too high there when compared to the post office,
but you do need to remember what you get - they'll accept your USPS or UPS
deliveries for you, and you can even call them up and they'll tell you what mail
is in your box so you won't waste a trip to get junk mail. Just try THAT
at the post office! Stop by and check on their
services offered. You'll be happy you did.
M&M Movies
278 ( Behind Hooters in Hiram )
This is the newest set
of movie theatres to open in the area. All of the theatres have
"stadium seating" (angled steeper so the lady's big hair in front of
you doesn't get in the way). Convenient and the screens are a decent size,
but we have THREE complaints: 1)
Tell your employees to SMILE - we've never seen a place where just about every
employee doesn't know how to say "thank you" or smile, or even look at
you in the face. 2)
Fix the water problems. When you are near some of the theatres, a
musty/moldy smell is VERY noticeable, especially on rainy days. This says
there is already a water problem there, and the place is too new for that.
Lots of folks are allergic to mold, so this NEEDS to be addressed.
and 3) Show a notice
before each movie that says, "Turn your cell phones OFF during the
movie"... PLEASE! We've had people talking on phones at every
single move we've been to there - a notice may or may not work, but at least you
can kick their rude asses out saying they were warned ahead of time if they do
it.
And a notice to the patrons - If you
NEED to use your phone during a movie, do us all a favor and RENT A DVD INSTEAD,
you rude bastards. Also, if it's not an animated movie for children... TWO
YEAR OLDS DON'T BELONG ! Good lord, we tried to watch Star Wars and some
moron received three cell calls, and his 2 year old decided to teach half the
place all of the words he just learned throughout the movie. Give it a
rest people.
Powder Springs Style and Barber
Shop ( Austell-P.S. Road
)
This review comes
to us from "Richard H" via Hotmail. (slightly edited for length).
"This e-mail is in reference to the
"Powder Springs Style and Barbershop "located on Austell-Powder
Springs Road in the old Food Giant shopping center. This place reminds me of
Floyd Barbershop on the old Andy Griffith series. Though standing room only is
the norm on any given afternoon the service and down home friendliness one
receives makes it worth the wait. The owner is "Larry", a long time
Powder Springs resident. The decor includes a wild boar's head mounted on the
wall, fishing and hunting photos, and decades of McEachern H.S. sports team
photos. It is probably the only place in the area that still offers a shave
service. Great place to take the kids as well. I would give this
establishment a solid A."

Mix of Donatos, Donnies, and more!
This review comes
to us from "Jeffrey", a newer resident to our town. (edited for
length).
Jeffrey is a newer resident to town
and adds via email his comments on several local establishments. On Donato's,
he says, "I have only gotten take-out, and have been more than pleasantly
surprised each time. The pizza is a step up from the bland Papa
John's", and rates them a "B" since they did forget a salad
once. On Donnie's BBQ, he adds,
"I am a huge fan of barbeque and when I came to PS I was excited that I
would be living less than 5 minutes from a barbeque joint. BUT at
Donnie's, the food is terrible - The one (and only) time I went the service was
awful too.", and rates Donnie's a low "D+". Jeffrey and
family like La Parilla, giving food and
service a solid "A+"! Roadhouse Grill
however, suffers a bit from service and food according to Jeffrey, bur earning a
"B-". Our local McDonalds?
"Anarchy. The first time I went there I was pleased because I was
only third in line ... it took them twenty minutes to get to me - this has got
to be the worse McDonalds in the country", says Jeffrey, giving them a boo
hoo of an "F". Last, he reviews Wendy's
- "The first couple experiences I had there confirmed your review
completely, but recently they seem to have cleaned up there act in a big way.
Maybe its because I go during off hours.", and he now gives them a
"C+". Thanks for your email and reviews, Jeffrey!
Reader Review: Dairy
Queen, Regal Cinemas, Wendy's & more again!
This
review comes to us from "Deborah", printed as-is via email.
"Twice, I have gone to their [ Wendy's ]
drive-up window. The first time I asked for onions and was told that he
got the order (even though it didn't appear on the screen). No onions when I got
home. The last time was Wednesday. I gave my order 3 times and still
the girl didn't get it right. So I go to the dairy queen ---The kid who
took my order got it
right, but he acted like I didn't even exist. So much for Thank You
anymore. Subway is another one. My husband won't go to subway
anymore. The service is sooooo sloooow. And one more
complaint, why can't the Regal Cinema post the times of the shows on the
outside?"

H & L Tire Company (Austell-Powder Springs
Road)
This review comes
to us from "Richard H", and is copied and pasted as per his email to
us.
"This review is in reference to
the H and L Tire Company located on Austell-Powder Springs Road. Although
they have been properly reported to the Better Business Bureau I felt it worthy
to submit this review. This establishment is notorious for price gouging the not
so mechanically savvy. On two occasions they over charged my elderly mother for
automotive work that was never done in the first place. When confronted the
owner/manager "Harold" became extremely hostile and physically
threatened me as well as other angry customers who faced the similar problems.
My advice is to avoid this place if you want to be treated "RIGHT".
Overall Grade "H" = For Horrendous"
** And this reply to the above
review came in from "Harold M" of H&L Tire on 2/28/05, via email
(copy/pasted):
"Anyone that has ever had a problem
has always had the choice to bring it back to me. I have fixed things
totally unrelated to the area I repaired just to make the customer happy.
It is totally rediculous to think I would overcharge anyone much less an
eldery lady. Most of my business is with the elderly community.
You dont stay in business for 30 years treating people the way Richard H says
I do. I stand behind my pricing and product 100%. If you find it
cheaper I'll beat it. Harold M"
Regal Cinema in Austell
( East/West Connector and Powder Springs Road )
This review comes
to us from "Alita Fortune" via AOL email. (edited for length)
Powder Springs parents are raising a
generation of Hillbilly children! Parents, do you KNOW what you're kids do
when they're out of your sight? I'm talking about your teens, who should
be old enough to act as though they had some home training. Well wonder no
more - get to the Regal Cinema on Friday nights and feast your eyes upon your
offspring. I'll never go to the movies again on a Friday night. We
used to enjoy going to the movies on Fridays, until moving to this area,
too. Recently, my husband and I went to Regal to see "A Knight's
Tale". The kids in that theater laughed, partied, tossed food at one
another, and hurled candy with enough force to hurt a few patrons if they had
been hit. We found a manager to complain, when we then found out that 3 attendants
and a policeman had come in at various times as well. The manager was
nice, and apologized, giving us free movie passes, but he admitted that this is
COMMON and happens every Friday night at this theater. My advice to
moviegoers: Complain! Do not give up your Friday night dates because
parents in this area have failed to raise their children to be respectful of
other's. You pay for your ticket, so you deserve better. Complain to
the manager, and to the Regal district offices, so they will have permanent
police on call at the theater. Do not buy anything from the concession
stand until they fix the problem. Parents - go to the movies on Friday
nights and don't be surprised to see your kids behaving like they were raised by
a pack of Hillbillies.
Texas RoadHouse
( In Hiram, immediately following Home Depot )
This
comment comes to us from "Joan" on aol.com...
"We have eaten at the
Texas Road House many times. The food can't be beat. Prices are a little high,
but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The baby back ribs just
fall off the bone (as they should). Service is excellent. The staff are very
friendly. The owner always makes his rounds & makes it a point to stop
& chat with me & my husband. He & the staff always remember us. I
kinda like that in a business."
Our comments on
Roadhouse: From time to time when we enter the restaurant a
gaggle of what we call "The Barbies" will be gathered at the hostess
desk gossiping and talking, which we do find to be very unprofessional - we
recently stood there for a while before they even noticed we had walked in the
door. That being said, the place is clean, food is good, and service is
generally above average. Our grade = B-
Wendy's
( In front of the Powder Spring's Publix )
The owner says things are about to
improve. We'll wait and see, and keep hopes up. However, since they
said this, they've had a couple of good periods, as well as down time as
well. On our most recent trip, they had no bread made for a particular
type of sandwich they sell - at 11:30am (peak time). They asked us to pull
over and they'd bring us our food. We pulled over. TWENTY MINUTES
LATER, our food was not there. We went in and asked for our money back.
The gal at the register was hesitant to do this, but the manager behind her
overheard and told her to do it - this, while about TEN people were standing
there waiting for their food as well - none of them looked happy.
Our advice? Avoid this Wendys.
Dave Thomas (founder) would roll in his grave if he visited this place.
...and a comment
from a local resident who visits our site, "Mr. Opinionated"...
"I think
that the Wendys in Powder Springs does a good job with the food, but I just wish
someone there could teach the drive thru people how to say hello, and thank you.
In comparison to the drive thru at the local KFC, Wendys fails to come close.
But that is enough to stop me from enjoying there good food unfortunately!
Sincerely, Mr. Opinionated"

Digital
Camera Reviews & Lessons
Our resident photographer (Greg) tells us
that he gets many emails about digital cameras. People asking what to buy,
what not to buy, what a digital camera even is, etc. etc. etc. So, he's
informed us that he has put together a very basic web site of his own that is
designed for the complete beginner - one that will teach you the very basics
about what a digital camera is, teach you a few new words, and then recommend a
camera or two, and some to avoid. He'll have a link on his site to
bring you back here, or just hit your browser's "BACK" button to

Stray Dogs & Cats Running Around In Powder Springs |
Ok, the emails keep coming in about the stray animal problem in Powder Springs,
so here's our piece on it too. Pet owners, do you WANT your pets to be
killed? What's wrong with ya?? First of all, Cobb County has a leash
law that DOES include cats, so, if you're one of the types who lets Fluffy roam
around on top of your neighbor's cars or to poop in their yards, beware.
Fluffy can legally get caged with a rental trap from animal control, and YOU
have to pay a big $$ fine to get 'em out. Now for the dogs - fences were
invented about 3500 years ago folks.. use them. If Rover bites someone
while roaming around, or runs out in front of a car and causes an accident, it's
you the dog owner, who will go to court. In other words folks, please,
grow up and properly take care of your animals. Put a collar and tag on
them. Keep them contained or indoors, and bring them in during bad
weather. GEESH!

Kids In Restaurants |
Hey folks, we don't pay a babysitter to watch the
kids just so we can go out to eat and listen to YOURS climb the restaurant walls
and bang a metal spoon on the table. Cool it. You'd sometimes think
this town was a breeding zoo and that restaurants were places to let the animals
loose. Control your kids, or keep them home, people. If you can't
afford the baby sitter, you shouldn't be eating out to begin with. Eating
out is not an excuse for making all others around you suffer for your lack
of parenting skills - leash the brats for one hour, willya? You
know who you are.

People Who Tack Fliers On Our Mailboxes |
So, you really think it's SMART to save a dollar
or two by sticking your fliers and business cards in or on my mailbox or
mailbox post, huh? There seems to be an awful lot of mammas in
this area who dropped their kids on their heads as a baby, because there
are a good number of small business owners around who actually think
people don't mind having their boxes defaced every single day with this
junk mail. I get more emails from locals complaining about this,
than any other thing. Hey business owners.. guess what? You're
LOSING business by doing this. Everyone I know say they AVOID
businesses who do this.
To the home owners: If someone leaves
fliers on your mailbox, call them and complain about it. If they
leave something *IN* your mailbox without proper postage, they've broken
the law! Report them to the post office immediately, and file a
complaint. If you are traveling, make sure you have a neighbor
remove these junk mail pieces from your box, when you suspend mail and
paper delivery, because a criminal will now immediately that you're not
home by seeing several business mailing stuck to your box. If your
home is broken into while away, and upon returning you find these fliers
stuck to your box, take photos, leave them there, and immediately call an
attorney, as you may very well be able to take legal action against those
who put them there. Their flier(s) alerted the criminals that you
weren't home, therefore possibly making them partially responsible.
Ask an attorney about this for more info.

On Teen
Drivers |
Do the parents here really have any
clue how 80% of their teens are driving around in this town? I mean
folks... have you ever secretly parked outside of McEachern High School
when school lets out, and watched the kids as they leave the parking
lot? That alone is sometimes scary, much less the way they go about
it once they're on the roads. We've tried to hook up digital
"spy cams" in our cars to catch the license plate numbers of
kids who tailgate and speed - we were planning on pasting photos of them
on this site. So far, the cams do not have the resolution to clearly
show who they are, but we're working on it. In the meantime parents,
you'd be shocked to see the incredibly poor driving skills that your kids
have - especially when they're goofing off with several other teens in the
car while they're trying to drive. I urge all parents to
contact the governor's offices, and support their measure to increase the
driving age in Georgia to 17, as well as making driver's ed classes
mandatory. It's your own kid's lives you may be saving, in doing so.

People Who Have Crappy Yard Sales & Leave The Signs Up |
Now, we all here favor recycling - but some things
just belong in the trash can. Can anyone tell us why someone would
put yard sale signs up for miles around, to steer people to a house that
has a small fold out table with some baby clothes and old toys on
it? We love those "Huge Yard Sale - Multi family!!" signs
that take us to two neighbors selling old blankets and some coats from the
1950s as well. ARGH! Folks, please... there are two things to
remember. 1) If it's junk to you, it's junk to others,
too. Throw it out. and.. 2) TAKE YOUR SIGNS DOWN after
the sale is over, please. Nothing ticks a person off more than
following signs around for miles only to find they were from last week's
sale. New Sign ordinances in Powder Springs may help remind
you to remove these as well once you pay $$$ for it.

On People Who
Leave Their Dogs Tied Up Outside During Bad/Cold Weather |
How many times do you have to see this? Mom
and Dad get dog for kids. Kids get bored with dog after 12
hours. Mom gets mad at dog the first time it pees on the floor, even
though Dad doesn't even make an attempt to house train the dog. Dog
winds up on a rope or chain, in the back yard, only to get attention once
or twice a day when people come out very briefly to feed it and if it's
lucky, to pet it. Dog grows up dumb, barking, and unhealthy.
God people, we've asked it before... who raises you?? Dogs are not
plaster yard ornaments. Short haired dogs (regardless of their size)
are NOT meant to be outdoor dogs. If the kids are bored, go buy them
a new Nintendo, and stop being cruel to the pet!! Think it's
fun being outside during a strong thunderstorm or tornado? Go sleep
in the doghouse the next time one hits and let us know what ya
think. GEESH. Might wanna read up on new city ordinance
2004-29, too. You might just spend some time in a dog house
the next time you neglect the family pet.. but your dog house may have
bars on it.
